A lifelong love of history and art led to painting the people and places
that I love. As an art student and then a teacher I have been exposed to and experimented with a variety of styles of
art, none of which were satisfying or rewarding. In recent years I've been drawn primarily to the eighteenth century
folk art style. I began painting from old family photographs, and through which I felt closer to those whom I
didn't have the opportunity to know. My paintings have also begun to include beloved animals and plants. It
would be an honor to share these feelings with you and, so, Wrenwood Folk Art is born.
